Bloc Party’s Kele drops ‘Tenderoni’

Last month we blogged about Bloc Party front man Kele’s upcoming solo release called ‘The Boxer’. This week we have been able to hear what direction this project has taken with the release of a track from the new album called ‘Tenderoni’. If that track name sounds familiar, it is because it is also the name of a track previously released by Montreal tongue in cheek, electro-funk duo, Chromeo. It is not a cover, however how a track title that sounds vaguely like a type of pasta has been used twice is really beyond me. “Tenderoni’ is a definite departure from the indie rock stylings of Block Party and heads towards the dance floor as promised, with a big dose of electro provided courtesy of producer XXXChange
