Exit Through The Gift Shop – A Banksy Film

If you haven’t already heard, satirical street artist icon Banksy, has torn himself away from paint fumes and midnight art raids and made a film. Titled ‘Exit Through the Gift Shop’ the film debuted at Sundance earlier this year, was released in the UK last month and has now made its way to US shores.

The film works its way around a story of a camera obsessed Frenchman who decided to try and track down, uncover, befriend and film Banksy, but in the end has the artist turn the camera back on him. Banksy commented,  ‘It’s the story of how one man set out to film the un-filmable… and failed.’

Previously some had speculated that this may be the greatest uncovering of one of the biggest enigmas in popular culture since ‘The Stig’. Thankfully, Banksy did pull away the mask to reveal to us all that he is really Rolf Harris and spoil the romanticism. Check out the trailer for the film below.
